Doc Shorts | Talking Pictures: The Regent Cinema Marple

Client: Personal

Record date: Dec 2020

'It's more than a job, its a way of life'

First opening in 1931, Marple’s Regent Cinema is one of the very few surviving independent cinemas in the UK.

Serving the community of Marple with blockbusters, popcorn and choc-ices continually since 1969, little did they know that they’d face their first period of closure in over 50 years.

For David and Edwin a new year brings a new chapter in the rich history of this magical place.
